I haven’t had much time to blog lately, due to school, but I have to say that Arnold gave a great speech tonight. The Bush girls shouldn’t try for a career in comedy. Laura supports her husband. I have to tell you if you look at Teresa’s speech and Laura’s speech at least Laura mentions her husband.
The Swift Boat Vets are killing Kerry’s campaign. More and more veterans are coming forward trashing Kerry and his anti-war record. I see it all downhill for Kerry from this point on.
If you look at what is happening in New York right now and compare it to what happened in Boston, you can get a good feeling at what is going to happen. While I don’t know how many folks were arrested in Boston, there are alot being arrested in New York.
Doesn’t it look impressive to see all of the Communists for Kerry and Socialists for Kerry. A Kerry supporter critically injuring a Police Officer and it was captured on video tape. When the story is told of who actually supports Kerry and how they support him, he’s toast.

Well week 0 of college is over and week 1, the first official week is underway. This is going to be one busy semester. I already feel like my eyeballs are going to fall out from all the reading I have had to do.
Now here come the writing assignments. I have three to do this week. I guess it’s a good thing I read the assignments, well all but to chapters. I didn’t get that book until today. The book store stiffed me on it twice, so I finally bought it at Amazon. So I guess I know what I will be doing the rest of the evening.
Also the group assignments are being made. I hate groups, but I think I blogged about that already. It’s also a good thing that I have a lot of free time at work. I can sneak some reading in after the class leaves for the day.
Well with all the work I just blogged about, I suppose I had better quit complaining and start getting some of it knocked out.

Well, I have finally set up my new computer.
It is a Dual Pentium Celeron and is faster than any machine I have had in the past. I have also registered with Flickr, so I can start posting pictures. I guess Blogdrive makes that fairly hard. Well I have to transfer some more stuff from my Mac over to this machine so I’m out of here for right now.

I was just listening to some idiot (didn’t catch his name) on the John Gibson show, who was trying to justify the democratic 527 groups and shutdown the Republican 527 groups. I can’t believe some of these folks. So it is ok for Moveon.org to equate the President with Hitler, but evil to raise questions about Kerry’s service.
I say fine, shut the Swift Boat Veterans down, but shut down all of these anti-Bush organizations too!

I found this courtesy of “Drumwaster Rants” and his link to Stolen Honor. This is another group of veterans that is speaking out about John Kerry. I am a Vietnam Era Veteran. There is a distinction between a Vietnam Veteran and a Vietnam Era Veteran. A Vietnam Veteran is a person that served in country while a Vietnam Era Veteran is a person who was on active duty during the Vietnam War.
I wanted to make this very clear, that I am not a Vietnam Veteran. Now I am a Gulf War Veteran (Desert Storm). My father was a Vietnam Veteran, and since I joined the Navy in 1974 (First year of the all volunteer force) most of the folks I served with in my early years were Vietnam Veterans. One thing that unites all Vietnam and Vietnam Era Veterans, besides Kerry’s Band of Brother’s who are all looking for a high paying government job, if they aren’t being paid already, is an extreme hatred of this man and what he did after returning from Vietnam.
This man stained and tarnished the careers of many young men of that era, who were willing to sacrifice all, because they answered the countries call to arms. He came back after his heroic four-month tour, with all his medals and wounds (I wonder if he even has scars) and proceeded to degrade the service of all military men both in Vietnam and all future veterans. He was instrumental in the deaths of thousands as the North Vietnamese used his Senate testimony as a tool to keep their spirits up and abuse our Prisoners of War.
I personally experienced the results of his Senate testimony when I was accosted in San Francisco International Airport while flying home to be present during the birth of my first child. I had been forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan and was stationed onboard USS White Plains (AFS-4) when it became imminent that my wife was going to give birth any day, so I took leave. I caught a Military Flight out of Yakota AFB to Travis and caught a bus to San Francisco. I had no time to change, nor did I feel I had to, until I was at a United Airlines ticket counter and was called a baby-killer by some Hippy piece of crap with hair down to his ass. I tried to explain that I had never been to Vietnam, but this piece of crap would hear nothing of it and in fact spit on me. It was the uniform I was wearing that caused this burnout to be the way he was.
And it was clowns like John Rambo Kerry that spun these idiots up and brought them into the mainstream. There is one thing that these anti-military idiots don’t see, and that is, if it weren’t for us folks that are willing to deploy six months out of the year, go to foreign countries to fight, or put our lives on the line, they wouldn’t have the freedom to be able to do half of the stuff they do. I don’t care who the hell you think you are, don’t disrespect the Military of the United States of America as they protect your freedoms.
So John Rambo Kerry comes back, trashes all the Veterans and is now bent that they are speaking out. His goons have contacted the publisher of the book to get it suppressed. I think he forgot to read about Freedom of the Press in the Constitution. His goons have also threatened stations that play their ads. I guess he also forgot about Freedom of Speech.
If Kerry is so proud about his military service why won’t he release his records? It’s because his entire story is BS and would kill him in the press (if they would report it). Today on World Net Daily I saw three separate Citations for his Silver Star. He’s retracted his first Purple Heart as it may have been self-inflicted, and he wasn’t in Cambodia on Christmas Eve.
Well, what would they discover if they were to release his records? More misrepresentations is what, and that is why they will never be released. This guy has still not apologized to the Veterans he insulted, and I don’t believe he ever will. After all we are just 2.5 Million voters, a small percentage of the population. The one thing that he has not counted on is the fact that almost everyone has known or had a family member that is a veteran, and they are starting to ask these veterans, “What do you think about what is happening with John Kerry”. The answers are eroding even his Democratic support.
And when his attack pundits like James Carville pull their act on National TV, on the Clinton News Network (CNN), and find themselves turned off by the behavior Kerry will continue to lose support.
Conservative Talk Radio, Fox News, nor bloggers are going to let this one die. Neither will the veterans groups against Kerry. Here are their new ads, you will need to have a media program to view. Don’t worry if you don’t, as they will let you get one for free: Stolen Honor

So the Chargers are going to pay this prospect almost 50 Million Dollars. You would figure they would have learned their lesson after the Ryan Leaf disaster. Guess not, but maybe they’ll bring Leaf back as thier Quarterback Coach.

I am cracking up over all of the Swift Boat vs Kerry stuff. Kerry needs to get this buried or he’s toast. These swift boat guys are all over Fox and all over talk radio. Bush can ask them to quit but they won’t.
What Kerry doesn’t get is that these Veteran’s have spilled blood for this country. Everyone who has ever served knows some folks are glory hogs. While you are working they are the guys sitting around the shop seeing what awards the ship will get after a deployment. You see cooks get Mavy Achievement Medals for putting on a good Thanksgiving Day meal and stuff like that.
I have seen Captain’s in danger of losing their command get high awards like a Meritorious Service Medal, though the were being releived early. Why, political correctness. People in Command don’t mess up in the Navy’s eyes. They are the elite of the elite or they wouldn’t have been chosen. They also write their own awards just like anyone above a First Class Petty Officer writes their own evaluation. A little wordsmithing from the chain of command and the paperwork drill is done.
When are awards written? When someone in the Chain of Command or the person involved is being transferred, or at the end of a deployment or mission. it’s a paperwork drill. the sooner the paperwork is done the sooner everyone can get home. I have a Navy Commendation Medal for being a good Welfare and Recreation Officer. some of this is quite embarrassing.
When there is a war going on as I was involved in Desert Storm, the possibility of getting awards goes way up. War eliminates quotas. When on a regular deployment a ship has a certain amout of Navy Achievement Medals and Navy Commendation Medals it can give out. During wartime these quotas are increased.
So, Kerry got medals. How much he had to do to gain them, who knows. I do know that what he did after returning from the war was deplorable. He stabbed any person who wore the uniform, in the back. He now wants them to forget what he said when he returned. Sorry John, won’t happen. These guys, many who suffered real wounds, don’t buy it, won’t accept it, and are sicked by the sight of you.
And when the election is over, Kerry loses, and his band of brothers lose the possibility of those payback jobs for supporting him in the election are left out in the cold. What are they going to be saying then? How many of these guys are going to change their story and stab him in the back. John Kerry better be extra nice to the money strings. After he gets defeated, he’ll never hold office again, and when Teresa dumps him he’ll be out on the streets like so many other disrespected Vietnam Veterans.

Well I have finally managed to get most of my week zero stuff done and now am working on week 1. Had a few glitches yesterday as I guess CSU Fresno doesn’t like my G-4. It says the site is Mac compatible but all I had was problems yesterday.
I missed my discussion because I kept getting Java errors. I tried it with IE, Mozilla, and Netscape. All failed. Then I sent my first assignments in using Office for Mac. I got e-mails back from the instructors saying my assignments were unreadable. I would have switched over to MRS. RWO’s PC but we have just moved everything to the room addition and when she tried to hook up our server, found that she had bought six pin instead of 8 pin connectors so I was up the creek with that one.
I brought my Sony laptop home from work today and resubmitted all my work. Actually, I think I am the only one that has submitted my stuff for some of these classes. I can tell as some of the assignments had you post to a bulletin board and many of them have just one entry, mine.
I just finished completing my first real assignment for my Technical Writing class. I had to submit a 200-300 word Biography. We had to start with a time line and write it from the time line. I guess it isn’t too hard for someone who is only 18, but I’m 48 years old. I started typing and did a word count as I got to my high school days. 884 words.
That sure did spoil the day. I hadn’t even gotten to the thing that took up most of my life, the navy. Well I pretty got everything to under 300 words, but it sure doesn’t say anything. I had to cut so much stuff out that the purpose of the biography is going to be defeated. I had to take all the places I lived when I was a kid, and basically say, “We were a Navy family so we moved alot.” I wanted to tell about the places we lived and my Fathers duty stations.
My 26 year Navy Career was limited to two short paragraphs, where I didn’t even have room to list my duty stations. Bummer. Well, at least I managed to get my wife and kids mentioned. I guess I could have written 200 to 300 words on each duty station.
The one thing that is cool about it was when I was writing my time line. I have to admit that I have seen a lot during these 48 years on the planet.
And there are still many years left to add to it.

Well one thing I am not going to enjoy is all the reading.
I completed the reading assignments for three of my classes today. I guess it wouldn’t be bad if I were studying Literature or something like that, but Quality Assurance, Lean Business Practices, and Facilities Design weren’t real barn burners. I fell asleep reading the QA stuff. At least now I know what to do when I have insomnia. All I have to do is start reading for my classes.
So far the courses don’t seem to be too bad and I am getting comfortable navigating the CSU Fresno website. Some of their sections don’t like my G-4 so I will using a PC after we get the new LAN cables hooked up here in the house. Until then I still have my Sony Laptop.

well, i am going to be taking 5 web based courses over the next semester and what a pain it is going to be.
Just trying to keep track of what class is what and not accidentally closing pages and tabs has been an experience. Well I think I have everything on track now. Some classes will accept Netscape while others will only work on Internet Explorer. All of this on the same website. Unreal.
Anyway, i have taken all of my pretests and submitted my introduction stuff. Now I have to form some groups with other folks in the class. I hate doing group work, as it seems I do the majority of the work and have to share the credit. I am wondering if this will be any different now that I will be attending CSU Fresno. I guess I will see.
I already see this is going to be a big writing semester as I am taking technical writing and two QA classes. The other two look like writing is involved but not as much.
Well time to get ready for a discussion group. I don’t know what we are going to discuss since we haven’t had to do anything but read the Preface of the book.
